Sharon Nauss

In Canada, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) has been a long-standing supporter of homegrown songwriters.  Sharon first performed an original song on CBC- TV at the age of 15, and the CBC has continued to recognize her songwriting talents throughout her career.  She was twice chosen a finalist in the CBC Songwriting Contest (top 20 of over 400 entrants).  She was featured on CBC’s “Atlantic Airwaves”  as part of the Fundy Folk Songwriters Project,  and her song “Pine Street” was showcased on CBC Radio’s “Unsung Heroes”.

Sharon’s songwriting style incorporates influences from many styles: traditional folk, pop, jazz, and quirky originality.  She has written and performed several radio jingles and continues to write for her own CD project. “The MacLean Sisters” of Nova Scotia, Canada have performed her song “The Lillie Lorraine” in their concert tours.
